Position Summary:
This position works in tandem with Resource Development staff to support the fundraising efforts of United Way through functions such as customer service, database management, campaign management and reporting. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Initiates and drives completion of projects, suggests and creates improvement on processes that enhance organization and team’s performance and goals. This position requires a high degree of self-direction, initiation and leading to be successful and get the job done.

Analytical/Technology Skills:
Database Management:
• Produce fundraising reports, including information on accounts, donors, contributions, etc. These reports will be generated from United Way databases and software applications.
• Daily maintenance of company and donor account information within software application.
• Ability to interpret and manipulate data and reports to support needs of Resource Development and staff.
• Advance knowledge in data management.
Campaign Management and Reporting:
• Work in partnership with multiple Development Officers to plan, implement, execute and close campaigns.
• Collect and audit company /donor contributions in a timely manner so gifts can be properly acknowledged and credited.
• Work with finance and auditing staff to ensure accounts are processed in a manner that meets United Way accounting standards.
• Ability to assess problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Develops measurable solutions in partnership with internal and external resources.
Other:
• Systems literate. Proven ability to learn and work well with multiple systems.
• Utilizes tools and techniques for seeking out information on customer needs and priorities.
• Conducts analysis of daily problems for trends and takes steps to avoid recurrence.
• Knowledge of resource development techniques and strategies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Project Management:
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities, organize interpret and communicate data.
• Ability to manage the planning, organization, monitoring and control of all aspects of a project and the motivation of all involved to achieve the project objectives.
• Provides accurate reports and meets project deadline.
Customer Service Orientation:
• Understands the underlying concepts and values of a service organization.
• Identifies key techniques of effective customer service.
• Monitors and reports on delivery of what was promised.
• Identifies and resolves common customer problems, issues or concerns.
• Ability to present reports in a professional manner.
• Ability to work cross functionally with other departments as needed.

• Communicates ideas clearly and effectively.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical instructions.
• Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, policies and technical instructions.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Project Management, or closely related field.
• Two plus years experience in project management, customer service or related field.
• Prefer nonprofit management experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities to do the job.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license, proof of auto insurance coverage, daily access to personal vehicle
• Ability to work outside of 8:30a.m.-5:00 P.M. schedule
Reporting to this position: No direct reports
Physical demands and work environment:
• Work is performed primarily in an office setting and while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and demonstrate manual dexterity.
• During specific times of the year, the employee is required to visit a variety of direct service settings across the community. Additional mobility is required during this activity.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 10 pounds) during the course of the workday.
