REPORTS TO: Development Staff
Position Summary:
Assist local employers plan, implement and conduct successful United Way campaigns. Serve as United Way representative and spokesperson, conveying the needs of the community to encourage individual contributions, advocacy and community involvement.
Loaned Executive Key Duties:
- Provide the highest standards of customer service and professionalism to assigned accounts. Build and maintain healthy and supportive working relationships with VSUW staff and Loaned Executive colleagues.
- Assist Employee Campaign Managers and committees to plan, conduct and finalize successful workplace campaigns. (May require extensive driving and will sometimes require time beyond normal office hours.)
- Facilitate committee trainings, conduct employee presentations and educate donors about the value of investing in our community through United Way.
- Track and report campaign progress and results. Maintain current, detailed records of all campaign activities.
- Order and deliver campaign materials. Collect and report campaign contributions.
- Assist fellow Loaned Executives with meetings, trainings and deliveries as needed. Maintain current & detailed business calendar throughout the LE assignment.
- Attend scheduled Loaned Executive team meetings, training and monthly Cabinet meetings.
- Meet frequently with Development Staff to review campaign successes, challenges, potential problems or sensitive situations.
- Provide written evaluations of each assigned account with an analysis of campaign strategies, results and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
- Prepare thank you letters for assigned accounts for their support of Valley of the Sun United Way.

Position is full-time from early-August to end of November; training provided. Stipend of $7,700 ($12.69 per hour) plus mileage. Position is exempt and not eligible for benefits.
