Make an Enduring Gift

Take your donation further with a gift to the Valley of the Sun United Way Foundation. Created to meet the needs of donors who want their tradition of community responsibility to endure for future generations, the Foundation is a supporting organization of Valley of the Sun United Way with the exclusive purpose to benefit and support our mission of advancing the common good by focusing on education, income and health.

In May 2008, leading Valley philanthropist Jerry Bisgrove, of the Stardust Companies, announced a $25 million pledge to the Valley of the Sun United Way Foundation. Stardust committed to matching 50 cents on every dollar pledged over the next five years to the endowment campaign, up to $25 million.

The goal of the initial endowment campaign is to raise $75 million for the Valley of the Sun United Way Foundation, funding organization administrative costs and allowing for 100% of donations to be invested in community programs dedicated to improving lives. Valley of the Sun United Way currently invests 88% of donations back into the community, well above the national average of 80%.
