Every Child Ready To Read, Volunteer Parent Literacy Trainers
Research shows that a child not reading at grade level by third grade is four times less likely to graduate high school by age 19 than a child who is reading at grade level. Arizona's "Move on When Reading” law requires third grade students to read at grade-level to be promoted to the fourth grade. Join United Way in supporting students and families by delivering early literacy training to parents - a child’s first teacher. When parents use early literacy tools and tips at home they significantly improve the child's chances for success in school.
Pave the way to help more early learners find the road to academic success!
