Hungry for Change: Community Advocate

My Story

Jennifer - passionate advocate for Breakfast in the CalssroomWHO: Jennifer, mom to two sons

CITY: Glendale

MOTTO: Always be humble and kind.

WHY I SUPPORT BREAKFAST IN THE CLASSROOM: I taught in a school for 3 years where we did Breakfast in the Classroom, so I have seen the benefits directly. Not only did this time ensure that my students ate a meal to start the day off right, but it also helped to build community among my students.

YOU KNOW ME: I am a teacher at heart and always have been. Through my website, Simply Kinder, I am able to provide a community for teachers to connect, collaborate, and encourage one another.

My Challenge to You: Learn More

About Child Hunger in the Valley

  • Give - Every dollar makes a difference for local kids and families.
  • Learn More - The more you know the better equipped you'll be to discuss child hunger in schools.
  • Spread the Word - Every share on social media increases awareness of this important issue.

My Community Advocate Partners

I've partnered with eight other Valley moms from Gilbert to Glendale to help spread the word. Become a passionate champion for ending hunger in local classrooms by raising your voice, too!
