Meet Chase Parker
Senior Process Leader - Procurement
What activities make you lose track of time?
It is a rare occasion anymore that I lose track of time, but if it does happen it always surrounds spending time with great people. Whether it is late night conversations over drinks or simply a fun catch up session on the phone, I love getting lost in sharing stories and thoughts with family and friends.
What makes you smile?
Aside from the typical things like laughing babies and silly puppies, I love when I see technology used in a way that is smart but not excessive. An example would be the original Kindle. It used the current technology to accomplish the goal of making reading more portable without adding unnecessary features to the device. It was a beautiful adherence to scope. It still makes me smile. Haha!
What would you regret not fully doing, being, or having in your life?
I would regret not having my own family. I look forward to the day when I can wake up and make waffles for my family on Sunday as they make a mess of the house.
What gives your life meaning?
This is a great question and I have to admit I do not have a well thought out answer. Some personal drivers are helping people and learning more: this is what gets me to work every day. Looking at it a little higher level I would like to be remembered as someone who engenders positive change.
If you were forced to eliminate every physical possession from your life with the exception of what could fit into a single backpack, what would you put in it?
I would fill the bag with a change of clothes, a pair of running shoes, the book The Little Prince, a few photos of the people that mean the most in my life, a mouth harp (because why not), some headphones and of course the most massively useful thing: a towel.
What is your favorite sound?
Not that I have any strong ties to tennis, but I LOVE the sound of opening a new can of tennis balls.
