If you’re looking for a hands-on approach to building a stronger community, volunteering may be the perfect match for you. At Valley of the Sun United Way, we have many volunteer opportunities across the Phoenix metro area. Here’s how you can find the one for you.
1. Find Volunteer Opportunities
When you visit the homepage at www.vsuw.org (see image below) click the ‘See Opportunities’ button in the middle of the page to find upcoming volunteer events.
2. Navigate the Volunteer Options
Once you click the button, the new page loads where you can choose your volunteer event (see image below).
3. The Volunteer Calendar
In the upper right corner (see image below), click “CALENDAR” to see upcoming events for the month and sign up to make a direct impact.
4. Join United Way’s Volunteer Team
Plan on volunteer regularly? Sign up for our volunteer system to help make your volunteer experience easy! To create your account, click the “SIGN UP” button at the top (see below image). Now, choose which social issues are important to you and find volunteer opportunities that work for you.
5. Register for the Right Opportunity
Once you find a volunteer opportunity that works for you, click on the event name and you’ll find additional details and a chance to sign up to volunteer at this specific event. Just below the name of the event you can see the date, time, description, and how many volunteers are needed. Right next to the name, click volunteer to save your spot (see image below).
