The Phoenix libraries have several events for children and adults throughout the month of October with computer and technology topics that you can attend and learn from. Some of the topics available include tips for writing emails, coding, 3D modelling, Microsoft Word, and more!
Vello is an online tutoring program available in local schools to provide students with a one-on-one tutoring experience to build reading skills. Passionate professionals across the Valley can sign up to volunteer from anywhere they are with a computer and an internet connection by guiding a student through reading stories.
These sessions are not only great for building up a child’s reading ability, but also helps kids understand the basics of computers. Plus it’s a great way for volunteers to give their time in a way that is convenient to their time and easy to fit into their schedule with a quick, 1 hour time slot of the volunteer’s choosing.
