My life used to be typical in regards to living and lifestyle. Living the American dream. Great job, great home, great family, and great life. Until I found myself homeless, the last thing I ever thought was that I would end up on the streets of Phoenix, AZ, penniless, an outcast of society, struggling to find a safe place to sleep.
What a blessing it was for me to sleep on a bed, take a shower in a bathtub, and cook myself a meal. I got connected to NAC, Native American Connections, which provides a beautiful apartment to me. NAC also provides me with my own case manager, I also receive pantry day (which supplies food), computer room, TV room, exercise room, and 24/7 staff who are always ready to help.
Nothing beats having a safe place to sleep. Thank you Native American Connections for helping me feel like a human being again!
