This year is the 25th year of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. Join Valley of the Sun United Way for an MLK weekend volunteer event as we work in the garden beds at Cartwright Community Garden. This garden will help connect the community with the land and harvest of the crops that will help feed local families. Volunteers clear weeds and turn the beds, lay weed cloth and pavers in outdoor kitchen area, install solar lights, paint the tires that surround the walking path, and paint lines at adjacent Bret Tarver School basketball court.
