The Maricopa Community College District has partnered with Valley of the Sun United Way’s Thriving Together to help Phoenix Union High School District (PUHSD) students get ready for college at Maricopa Enrollment Day. Eligible students will be able to get all enrollment completed for Gateway College, Phoenix College, and South Mountain Community College in just one day while also receiving assistance with course registration, career exploration, FAFSA completion or check-up, student IDs, and will be lead on a campus tour.
Normally, students would be required to understand and complete these tasks on their own while also finishing their requirements to complete high school. “I probably wouldn’t even know what to do honestly if I didn’t have this day. I’d just be super lost… I’d be panicking. So I’m really glad this is an option.” – Kierra, previous PUHSD student
We fight for kids in Maricopa County by offering support so they don’t have to do it alone. Any PUHSD student who would like to attend the event should speak to their school counselor about their eligibility.
