American Sports Center (Map)
Join Valley of the Sun United Way, the Arizona Cardinals (NFL) and Verizon to support 150 - 200 selected students from across the Valley in this special Character Playbook Activity Day! Character Playbook is a United Way program educating students on how to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships during their critical middle school years. You will assist students in fun activities with cheerleaders, players, and other staff.
Saturday, May 12th

Sunnyslope Post Office (Map)
Come together with your local postal workers, Desert Mission Food Bank and community members to sort donations collected by the USPS Letter Carriers’ 26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Thursday, May 17th
7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with various shifts available
First Southern Baptist Church (Map)
Take action and fight to end homelessness when you volunteer at Project Connect. Here, we work with community partners to provide solutions that address the root causes of homelessness and help people start the journey back to health, financial stability, and housing. Services include things like a meal, clothing, showers, job placement, housing assistance, and more. There are several options and shifts available for volunteer opportunities at these events including our greatest need, guest guides, as well as data entry, guest registration, and tear down.
Thursday, May 24th
4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
St. Vincent de Paul Watkins Campus (Map)
At this hands-on opportunity to end hunger, you will help people experiencing homelessness or low income individuals and families receive a free nutritious meal with St. Vincent de Paul. Volunteers help set up the room, greet guests, serve meals, wait tables, give out essential items like clothing or hygiene kits, or clean up.

We Are UNITED, presented by Women United, is our signature event to fund ending children’s hunger initiatives, such as WeekEnd Hunger Backpacks and Breakfast in the Classroom, that ensure every child is well nourished and ready to learn.
