To provide food to the hungry takes more than food drive donations; it takes volunteers to make sure that food is not expired, that the packaging is in good shape and not compromised, and then sort the food and package it to be distributed to our agencies, who serve the communities within our service area. Volunteers may have a variety of tasks including inspecting food for quality, checking dates, sorting mixed non-perishable food into multiple categories, weighing, tagging, and preparing packages for shipment to our main warehouse.
