Nearly 250 residents and community members attended to celebrate the re-opening of Harmon Garden, visit the more than 30 vendors there to provide much needed information and resources, and join in the Easter egg hunt at Harmon Library.

Valley of the Sun United Way partners with The Siemer Institute for Family Stability to improve long-term housing, preventing unplanned moves out of a child’s home school, and increase economic stability for families at-risk of homelessness.

Earlier this year, people got together at Cartwright Elementary School to help rebuild a community garden after the children’s mobile garden, Gus the Bus, was burned down. After a little more work and a lot of love, Gus is back.
