The work education providers are doing to ensure children enter school ready to succeed is extremely important. That’s why Valley of the Sun United Way’s Quality First program is here to help!
Quality First is a signature program of First Things First that collaborates with child care and preschool providers across Arizona to improve the quality of early learning for kids from birth to age 5.
This includes training for teachers, expanding their skills in working with young children and coaching to help programs provide learning environments that nurture the emotional, social, language and cognitive development of every child.
Programs enrolled in Quality First work with a coach to understand their strengths and develop techniques to do even better for the children in their care and are able to improve their physical environments and purchase learning materials.
A team of experts in early childhood health, mental health, and supporting children with special needs may also be available for additional support regionally.
