Resolve to be Involved
A new year is coming fast and that means new resolutions! If you are looking to get more involved in your community, we have 3 ways you can start now.
Volunteer in the Community
There are many volunteer opportunities available throughout the year that you can sign up for. Each month, Valley of the Sun United Way posts a blog highlighting these opportunities with a link to the sign up page. To explore these opportunities for yourself, visit vsuw.org/volunteer or check out our blog page around the first of every month.
Volunteer at Home
You don’t have to be at our planned events to do good for the community with our at-home activities! They are a great way to get the whole family involved and start a conversation on what poverty is with your child, or do as a group of coworkers or friends looking to join the fight to break the cycle of poverty. After these project activities are completed, they provide supplies and support needed for United Way programs.
Volunteer at the Next Level
With the right affinity group, you can commit to being a greater advocate for the community that fits within your interests! Whether you are looking to join a young-professionals group, network with women advocates, get involved as a student at Arizona State University, or connect with near or post-retirees, there’s a group for everyone. These groups build a bond as they meet regularly for events to join the fight for kids, families, and neighborhoods.
