Vello Tutoring
Sign up to tutor 60-minutes a week
Being a reading tutor is easier than ever with Vello virtual tutoring, there is no experience required! With screen and audio share and a full library of e-books, students are connected to volunteers for 30-minute guided reading sessions. Tutors can volunteer from anywhere they are with internet; you could even read with a student over your lunch break!

Calling all baseball fans! Join us as we sell concessions at the Milwaukee Brewers game against the Oakland Athletics. Proceeds will benefit Valley of the Sun United Way, and the Spring Training Classic Trophy will be awarded to the highest-grossing concession stand. Invite your corporate groups and social groups to join the fun! Volunteers will be asked to manage cash register, help with food prep, and sell concessions. United Way T-shirts and Brewers hats will be provided if needed.
Book-in-a-Bag

Use your creativity this Spring Break to join us in Book-in-a-Bag creations! Make reading more interactive and enjoyable for everyone. Volunteers will decorate a brown paper bag to reflect the story of the book that comes with it. These will be given to children during Avondale KidsFest on April 11th. Children 7 and older may participate if accompanied by an adult.

Connect Essentials is a document ready event for individuals needing to complete steps in the Coordinated Entry process. The Coordinated Entry System (CES) facilitates the coordination and management of resources and services through the crisis response system allowing users to efficiently and effectively connect people to interventions that aim to rapidly resolve their housing crisis. CES works to connect the highest need, most vulnerable persons in the community to available housing and supportive services equitably.
This essentials event will assist guests with the opportunity to gather documents needed to complete this process for individuals experiencing homelessness. This is for anyone who is seeking to be connected to coordinated entry, needs to satisfy the required check-in every 30 days to remain active, or is in need of documents to attain housing, such as birth certificate, state identification, social security, DES Services, cell phone.
Volunteers will act as a guest guide, helping connect guests to the proper services for their situation.
Orientation will take place at 8:30 a.m.
Operation Uplift: Women’s History Month at Spaces of Opportunity

Celebrate Women’s History month painting a mural near the healing garden at the 19 acre farm of Spaces of Opportunity. In addition to helping complete the mural, volunteers will participate in activities geared towards celebrating women’s history and work in the garden space. Unlimited Potential will also host a farmer's Market on site.
This community garden connects the community with the land and the harvest of the crops that will help feed local families.
