We know learning to read is key to reading to learn later in life and thanks to your generous donations at the Tocueville Society's recent Book Bash, more Valley children can start their path to literacy right at home. More than 100 books were donated and more than 60 guests mingled while their children to enjoy a special reading from local author Barbara Perry from her book "The Perfect Puddle."
Mrs. Crawford, who teaches at Brunson-Lee Elementary school also shared a person thank you message. Your support changes her students lives and she sees it first-hand everyday in her classroom, thanks to United Way's literecy programs and Breakfast in the Classroom.
