Building Confidence in Our Students

The key to getting that job you really want is to have a great interview. Part of a great interview is to go in with confidence. Metrotech High School will have an Interview Fair on Friday, February 16, 2018 for their students so they have interview experience as they begin to enter the work force.

Practice Makes Perfect

The Phoenix Union High School District has partnered with Valley of the Sun United Way so more than 500 seniors can perform mock interviews for 20 career and technical education programs. Through these interviews, the students will get a better idea of what questions they may be asked in an interview and what kind of things employers may be listening for. Afterward, feedback is given to build their skills.

Many students may have never applied for a job before. Practicing before an interview can help calm the nerves of a first time interview and can get students thinking about how to market themselves as a valuable employee.

These Students Need You!

However, these students need your help. Volunteers are needed to perform the interviews and provide feedback to seniors. The Interview Fair will be held in shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You can invest in the future of these students by signing up to volunteer today.
