Wells Fargo creates solutions for stronger, more resilient communities. The company has been committed to local neighborhoods, including those within Maricopa County, throughout its 167-year history and has increased its overall company philanthropic giving 25 times over the past 28 years.
Valley of the Sun United Way has been a proud recipient of Wells Fargo’s charitable giving for many years. In fact, for 25 years Wells Fargo has supported the United Way through generous monetary and campaign support. In addition to donations, the company has provided ongoing staff engagement, including hundreds of employee volunteers assisting with various programs, attending fundraising events and serving on numerous United Way committees, including its Board of Directors.
Both Wells Fargo and United Way recognize that families and neighborhoods need the public and private sectors to provide resources, expertise and collaboration to solve complex social issues. This year, Wells Fargo has provided a large grant to support multiple United Way programs including its Thriving Together initiative, community empowerment efforts, ending hunger and homelessness programs, and its early education work.
