Through the foundation’s $35,000 gift to the United for the Valley COVID-19 fund, local nonprofit partners will receive support for those they serve which is intended for immediate and immerging needs such as maintaining housing, securing food, access to reliable childcare, home sanitation supplies, learning tools and more.
“Dutch Bros and the Dutch Bros Foundation are all about putting people first, and it is evident in the very generous gift we have received in support of COVID-19 immediate needs in our community” said Carla Vargas Jasa, Valley of the Sun United Way President and CEO. “We are grateful for their impactful support, and for their partnership in ensuring our community’s most vulnerable individuals and families
have the support they need during this time.”
The gift is part of a larger $1 million commitment made by the Dutch Bros Foundation to assist organizations in its seven operating states. Partnering with United Way allowed the donation to make an immediate impact in areas hit hardest by COVID-19.
“We know how fortunate we are to be in a position to support our friends, families and communities,” said Katie Hutchinson, vice president of philanthropy at Dutch Bros Coffee. “We’re all working to find ways to make a difference during these difficult times.
