Health
We remove barriers to ensure everyone in our community is healthy, with a focus on access to food and health care.
GOING PLACES WITH THE GARNERS
Homebound seniors, like Martha and Louise Garner, are often forced to skip doctor visits simply because they have no way to get there. Valley of the Sun United Way is working with local nonprofit, Duet, to make sure everyone has access to healthcare. Martha and Louise have been using Duet’s services for almost a year. Volunteers drive them to and from their doctor’s appointments free-of-charge. Donating to Valley of the Sun United Way helps seniors, like Martha and Louise, live a healthy and happy life.

MC2026 GOALS
SOLUTIONS AT WORK

For children with limited access to food at home, school may be the only place they can get a nutritious meal. We believe in helping kids have a better relationship with food and more focus on their education, not their hunger.

Arizona faces a severe public health threat from extreme heat. The page provides essential information on how to stay safe during extreme heat. It also offers links to official health agencies, assistance programs and ways to get involved.
