The Pathways to Economic Opportunity program provides access to apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and internships to young Black and Latina women ages 16-29, in Maricopa County, to help develop necessary job skills and industry-recognized qualifications. As a participant, you will have all the resources needed to complete your work-based learning opportunity and a dedicated team to help support you along the way!

As a participant you will receive access to some of the following:

Dedicated Mentor

Dedicated Professional Black or Latina mentor in the career field of your interest to meet with you two hours a month to help guide and support you in developing the personal and professional skills you need.

Speaker Series

Opportunity to hear and learn from professional Black and Latina women about their career fields and ask job related questions about their challenges and accomplishments.

Mental Wellness Workshops

This series will equip you with the knowledge and tools to identify your personal values, cultivate self-compassion and self-care practices, understand personal boundaries, navigate relationships, and manage stress responses.

Financial Literacy Workshop

Learn the basics about banking and all the benefits, advantages, and perks of using credit cards and credit.

Wrap-Around Support

Receive technical and financial support to assist with items such as, but not limited to, technology, exam fees, professional attire and books to ensure you can successfully complete your work-based learning opportunity.

Pipeline AZ Account

Pipeline AZ Connects People With Jobs and Education. Pipeline AZ is where Arizona job seekers, students, employers, educational institutions, and nonprofits come to build Arizona’s workforce. Pipeline AZ is not just another job board, it is a career development and exploration platform designed to create more pathways to in-demand Arizona careers.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Black or Latina young women between the ages of 16 to 29, at the time of program application, who reside in Maricopa County and are enrolled in an apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, externship or internship.

For each event attended, all registered program participants will receive a $50 gift card!

*All events will be hosted via zoom except for the Networking Event and the End of year Celebration.
