The Pathways to Economic Opportunity program provides access to apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and internships to young Black and Latina women ages 16-24, in Maricopa County, to help develop necessary job skills and industry-recognized qualifications. As a participant, you will have all the resources needed to complete your work-based learning opportunity and a dedicated team to help support you along the way!

ElevateEdAZ (Fall 2023)
is providing high school student internships.
Year Up Arizona (Fall 2023)
is providing career training to meet the hiring needs of local partners. Below are the training specialist offered to students:
- Helpdesk/Desktop Support: Enhance your problem-solving abilities and deliver top-notch IT support services with our specialized training program in Phoenix.
- Investment Operations: Gain a deep understanding of investment operations and position yourself for growth in Phoenix’s financial sector with our specialized training program.

is providing pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship support. Below are some of the areas offered to students.

As a participant you will receive access to some of the following:
Mentor
Dedicated Professional Black or Latina mentor in the career field of your interest to meet with you two hours a month to help guide and support you in developing the personal and professional skills you need.
Speaker Series
Opportunity to hear and learn from professional Black and Latina women about their career fields and ask job related questions about their challenges and accomplishments.
Financial Literacy Workshop
Receive guidance on how to create a budget and stick to it. Learn how to save money by prioritizing your monthly budget.
Wrap-Around Support
Receive technical and financial support to assist with items such as, but not limited to, technology, exam fees, professional attire and books to ensure you can successfully complete your work-based learning opportunity.
Pipeline AZ Account
Pipeline AZ Connects People With Jobs and Education. Pipeline AZ is where Arizona job seekers, students, employers, educational institutions, and nonprofits come to build Arizona’s workforce. Pipeline AZ is not just another job board, it is a career development and exploration platform designed to create more pathways to in-demand Arizona careers.
Eligibility Requirements
Black or Latina Young Women between the ages of 16 to 24, at the time of program application, and reside in Maricopa County. Enrolled in an Internship, registered Apprenticeship, or working on Pre-Apprenticeship requirements.
For each event attended, all program participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card!
