Book-in-a-Bag Project

Lend us your creativity and bring books to life for kids.

Learning to read is the most important milestone in a child’s education. A child first learns to read and then reads to learn throughout their life. Still many kids, miss the chance of becoming strong readers.

Join us to make a difference!

Team-up with coworkers, friends and family and create Valley of the Sun United Way’s Books-In-A-Bag. United Way’s Book-In-A-Bag project brings literacy front and center. It combines the nostalgia of paper lunch bag and fills it with a child friendly book, reading tips for parents and more. Volunteers will bring a book to life by decorating the lucky bag with our favorite characters and words of inspiration.

This unique volunteer project builds home libraries for local kids.

Help kids succeed. It's easy!
