Put together kits to bring comfort to someone experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County.
On any given day, more than 9,000 individuals experience homelessness in Maricopa County. Many are experiencing homelessness for the first time possibly due to a job loss, home foreclosure, medical bills, or a variety of other circumstances. Other individuals have been homeless for a year or more, or multiple periods (chronic), and have a disability.
Chronically homeless individuals, about 20% of the homeless population, usually have other conditions that prevent them from ending their homelessness permanently, such as physical disability, untreated mental health, or substance abuse.
Help members of our community beat the heat!
