In Maryvale last year, 31 promotoras became hand-raisers and helped open the Isaac Community Center. With this opening, families in the neighborhood had a place to go to learn about available resources and a familiar, friendly face to help them find the ones right for them.

Now, not only are these promotoras acting as a resource in the facility, but they are also leading the Maryvale taskforce to continue growing and strengthening the neighborhood.

Because of the success we have seen in the Isaac Community School District, we are working with Promotora Hope Network to potentially expand to more Maryvale school districts and the southern areas of central Phoenix as we continue to meet with them quarterly to provide support for a growing program.

Just as it says in their hymn, with the teachings they provide, they change lives for the better. Thank you promotoras for being such an important part of our fight to break the cycle of poverty.
