Project Connect Impact Report – December 2017

On December 14, we were able to help more than 200 people at Monte Vista Nazarene in Phoenix get connected to the resources they need to get on their feet.

Umbrella Organizations

Valley of the Sun United Way’s Help The Working Poor Fund is our tax credit mechanism. United Way uses contributions to fund its own efforts to fight poverty in the community as well as sharing resources with other organizations dealing with homelessness, hunger and other related issues.

A Holiday Thank You

As the holidays near and the air is filled with cheer, we begin to think back on the year and all the good times we had. At Valley of the Sun United Way, we see all the wonderful things you made possible!

Promoting Early Learning For All Children in Maricopa County

Having a child watched by a friend or family member is the oldest form of child care. But this may mean they have less access to learning and development opportunities. That’s where we can help.

Fighting to End Homelessness in the Valley

With your support, we partner with emergency shelters and prevention and diversion programs to end homelessness.

Keeping Maricopa County Kids in School

Going from middle school to high school can be a big change for kids. Find out how we are fighting for kids and help them feel comfortable in school.

Filling in Nutrition Gaps

Food drives go a long way, but banks and pantries still need more items to provide families with proper nutrition. That’s where we can help fill the gaps.

Coaches Improving Lives, Breaking the Cycle

If you don’t know how to create a plan for your money, budgets and debt can be a big struggle. That’s why we offer the only free financial coaching training in the Valley.

Giving Every Child a Nutritious Breakfast

In Arizona, 1 in 4 kids may not know where their next meal is coming from. We believe every child deserves a nutritious start to their day.
