Join us for one final Operation Uplift project for the year, spending the day caring for the local Sullivan Elementary School. Volunteers will be helping with beautification of the campus including outdoor artwork and general cleaning.

USPS is doing their 27th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! Unite with USPS employees, Desert Mission Food Bank, and other community members to sort the donations collected.

First Southern Baptist Church Avondale (Map)
Take action and fight to end homelessness when you volunteer at Project Connect. Here, we work with community partners to provide solutions that address the root causes of homelessness and help people start the journey back to health, financial stability, and housing. Services include things like a meal, clothing, showers, job placement, housing assistance, and more. There are several options and shifts available for volunteer opportunities at these events including our greatest need, guest guides, as well as data entry, guest registration, and tear down.

Chandler Unified School District Auxiliary Facility (Map)
Come support the Chandler Unified School District C.A.R.E.S. Student Wellness Initiative and the Department of Counseling and Social Services in collaboration with Chandler Education Foundation. Volunteers will be helping to place Teen Lifeline information on all school buses to support access to help for our students. You will place stickers with Teen Lifeline information.

Support summer learning by ensuring children in the southwest valley have access to books over the summer, a library card, and access to a fun incentive base summer reading programs. We are working to prevent what is known as the summer learning slide in the areas of the southwest valley with the children with the highest needs. The Summer learning loss is the loss of academic skills and knowledge over the course of summer holidays.
Volunteers will assist with the distribution of free books to kick off this event for those in attendance.

Desert Mission Food Bank (Map)
Desert Mission is a Valley of the Sun United Way partner with a food distribution program that provides monthly food packages for individuals and families in crisis. Volunteers are needed to assist individuals in the market area, helping people get items to their vehicles, and sorting, bagging and possibly assembling snack packs.
