Each year at the We Are United Luncheon hosted by Women United we see more and more great people who make growing our fight for kids possible. This year, as we partner with a powerful keynote speaker and many wonderful sponsors, we know we will make an even bigger impact still.
It is with great excitement that we announce American journalist, television presenter, author, and a great example of a woman who inspires change, Lisa Ling, as this year’s keynote speaker!
The event will be held at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Proceeds will go toward continuing Women United’s mission of ending hunger in the home and classroom. United, we provide breakfast to schools serving local children throughout Maricopa County, allowing children to have a steady, healthy, nutritious breakfast each morning and meals for the weekend each Friday during the school year. With the generosity of attendees at the luncheon, we are able to grow this impact to even more local schools.
Last year, our community raised $379,960 to end hunger at home and in the classroom. Our goal this year is to raise $450,000! Check out the pictures from last year’s event here.
