Thanks to game-changers in the Valley, more than 200,000 meals are being sent home with local children in food insecure homes
Women United and Vanessa Williams invited leaders in the community to join them for the We Are United Luncheon last Friday at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel where they raised more than $378,000 to end hunger in the classroom. These attendees took action as a community, an important part of breaking the cycle of poverty.
The We Are United Luncheon is an annual event hosted by Women United to fund initiatives ending childhood hunger in Maricopa County.
Take a look at our We Are United luncheon highlights below.
As Vanessa Williams said at the luncheon, “The fact that it was extraordinary today, and you did so much fundraising is tremendous. What a difference that will make.”
Thanks to all who attended for investing in our community! A special thank you to our sponsors! We couldn’t do it without all of you.
It’s not too late to join the fight! You can support WeekEnd Hunger Backpacks and Breakfast in the Classroom with your gift to Valley of the Sun United Way.
