Guadalupe was filled with volunteers from across the Valley at the October 27thOperation Uplift event.
Nearly 200 volunteers came to rise up and help with projects including:
- Cleaning and harvesting at the Semalulukut Community garden
- Painting the pool room in the Guadalupe Senior Center
- Adding 3 new garden beds to the Guadalupe Family Resource Center
- Sprucing up the Mercado
- Clearing American Legion Post 124
- Adding a beautiful 100 ft. historical mural
- School beautification projects at both the Getz Pre-School and Frank Elementary
Because of these volunteers and a local artist, we were able to create what felt like a new space as we continue the work of community empowerment.
