It’s the end of December and the new year is close by. As we look back at the accomplishments we achieved thanks to our volunteers, partners and donors this year, we are so thankful for all of the people in Maricopa County committed to joining the fight to break the cycle of poverty.

With the New Year comes a new you and a new year’s resolution! Here are a few ideas to get you closer to finding the perfect goal for you.

On December 14, we were able to help more than 200 people at Monte Vista Nazarene in Phoenix get connected to the resources they need to get on their feet.
Valley of the Sun United Way’s Help The Working Poor Fund is our tax credit mechanism. United Way uses contributions to fund its own efforts to fight poverty in the community as well as sharing resources with other organizations dealing with homelessness, hunger and other related issues.

As the holidays near and the air is filled with cheer, we begin to think back on the year and all the good times we had. At Valley of the Sun United Way, we see all the wonderful things you made possible!

Having a child watched by a friend or family member is the oldest form of child care. But this may mean they have less access to learning and development opportunities. That’s where we can help.

With your support, we partner with emergency shelters and prevention and diversion programs to end homelessness.
