Women United is made up of more than 800 members that come together to attend leadership sessions, connect with one another socially and professionally, volunteer together, and fight to break the cycle of poverty in our community. We are the hosts of the We Are United Luncheon as well as a Community Leadership Breakfast.
Women United members make an annual gift of $1,000 to the work of Valley of the Sun United Way to ensure kids succeed in school, end hunger and homelessness, and increase the financial stability of families. There is a three-year Step Up opportunity as well, which brings recognition of membership the moment you sign up.
Generation United is a community of emerging leaders who look to advance the mission of Valley of the Sun United Way through volunteering, giving, and connecting with one another. Our group is led by a steering committee representing corporate and community partners of Valley of the Sun United Way. We like to have fun while making a measurable impact in our community with educational opportunities, professional development, and networking events.
Retire United is a group of dedicated and engaged individuals getting ready to retire and retirees who are passionate about the mission of United Way. Our group has several skilled volunteers with various backgrounds who are engaged in giving back to our community. We have taken a special interest in Vello, United Way’s online tutoring program, sponsoring and virtually volunteering in local classrooms.
Student United Way is a group of students at Arizona State University representing the next generation of community leaders. We create meaningful volunteer opportunities for all ASU students, showing what a difference we can make by joining the fight in our local community. Student United Way leads Sun Devils UNITE, a week of philanthropy, education, and service. During this week, several student groups throughout the university UNITE to make a difference for our community.
