Valley executive named vice chair of United Way Worldwide’s Women United Global Leadership Council

Every year, APS partners with organizations throughout the state, including with Valley of the Sun United Way, to support Arizona’s economic growth and prosperity.

Valley of the Sun United Way invests 9.3 million dollars in 101 nonprofit organizations and schools in Maricopa County.

Valley of the Sun United Way’s signature event, We Are United, returned again this year for a community fundraising breakfast! We came together to discuss how we can move forward in Housing and Homelessness.

In honor of Educator Appreciation Week (May 8-12) and in partnership with City of Phoenix, Read On Southwest Valley, Read On Phoenix, and Million Dollar Teacher Project, Valley of the Sun United Way is proud to participate in this year’s Support Our Super Heroes Initiative.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate and reflect on the culture, traditions and inspiring contributions of Hispanic Americans in our community.
Labor shortages continue to weigh down our local and national economy. Right now, millions of U.S. companies have more job openings than workers to fill them. Workers in the younger generation are being more selective when it comes to finding a job. They are looking for companies with great employee culture, diversity and growth opportunities. A great and cost-effective way to hit these marks is to offer mentorship programs.
