Connecting With the Murphy Elementary School District Community
Murphy Elementary School District is the lowest-income non-reservation district in Arizona and faces unique challenges. By surrounding this district and the families with support and resources, we are providing opportunities for success.
Through our Thriving Together initiative, we united with the Cartwright School District and the Phoenix Union High School District to improve freshman pass rates.
Valley of the Sun United Way supported a cohort in Guadalupe to attend Fuerza Local, a course that offers a free course for Latino community members on how to open and run a small business of their own.
2017-18 Character Playbook Success with the Arizona Cardinals
Character Playbook teaches kids about healthy relationships, problem solving, and how to discuss how they are feeling. This program is made possible thanks to EverFi and the Arizona Cardinals.
